Job Description: Post Title: Casual Fitness Advisor Salary: up to Ł7.50 Post Number: Reports to: Duty Manager Location: JAGS Sports Club Hours: Part Time (……….) – See special Conditions Purpose of Job: To provide excellent and efficient level of customer service and care to all members of JAGS Sports club. Providing advice on fitness regimes programmes and wellbeing to promote an improved healthy lifestyle. Including Fitlinxx inductions and upgrades, and periodic reviews of members training programmes. Principle Responsibilities To induct all first time gym users to the gym facilities and Fitlinxx computerised personal training system and ensuring that members have a pleasant and welcoming time within the JAGS Sports Club gym facility. The safety of users whilst governing the gym in accordance to the set protocols and written procedures. This includes the regulation of users on C.V kit or resistance machines. To anticipate possible emergencies and where needed – to initiate evacuation, provide First Aid safely if possible and to stop possible escalation. This necessitates detailed knowledge of the site Emergency Action Plan (EAP) as well as understanding other Health and Safety responsibilities. Be proactively responsible for cleaning standards of the interior of the gym, surrounding gym areas and to ensure all parts (including stores and gym desk) are clean and tidy in accordance to written Housekeeping and Cleaning standards. To report any broken or defective machines immediately to the Duty Manager as well as placing the item in question on the Corrective action file. To carry out any other reasonable task from time to time that may be delegated by the Management team at JAGS Sports Club. Skills Required: YMCA Gym Qualification or similar.
