Q: I'd like to cancel my membership because I am going away, what do I have to do?
A: That's fine - as long as you are paying by direct debit, just give us 2 months written notice and we will cancel your membership. However if you are paying an annual membership it will run until your membership expires. Remember that you cannot cancel your membership within the first year of becoming a member. This is a written clause in the contract you have signed.
Q: My partner never uses the gym so to save money I would like to change my membership subscription to a Single Parent Family, what do I do?
A: If you want to change your membership just send a letter addressed to the Membership Advisor or email: info@jagssportsclub.co.uk informing us of this and we will change your direct debit payments. However if you are paying an annual membership, we cannot change it until the membership expires.
Q: I have lost/misplaced my swimming trunks, where can I find them?
A: We tidy the sports club at the end of each night. Anything that is found is placed in the lost property containers near poolside. Please let reception know what you have lost and they will locate the item for you.
Q: Can I bring my own personal trainer into the gym to train me?
A: Unfortunately due to insurance restrictions we can only have our own vetted instructors providing Personal Training.
Q: I'd like to hire out the sports hall for a private function, do you allow this?
A: We only hire out part of the sports hall for advertised children's' parties.
Q: I'm going away for 2 months on vacation, can I extend my membership so that I don't waste those 2 months?
A: We actually freeze memberships for 2 - 12 months so if you give us notice we can arrange for direct debits payments to stop while you are away then continue when you get back. However we can only do this for members once.
Q: I've lost my membership card and cannot access the club. What do I do?
A: We can replace your card for a sum of £6.75. But have a good look for the old one before going ahead and ordering the new one. We cannot give refunds once your new card has been made.
Q: What is the best way of obtaining information at the Sports Club?
A: We provide all members with a monthly E-bulletin. This allows the staff at JAGS Sports Club to keep all our members abreast of all the up and coming events, changes to the timetables and any other issues effecting your membership. To get this please leave your email address with one of our receptionists.
Q: What are the age limits for the gym?
A: We allow any child between the ages of 16 – 18 to use the gym as long as there is a member of staff in that area to supervise. These time are generally 6pm – 10pm week days and 9.00am- 4.00pm on Saturdays and Sundays. We do not allow any children under the age of 16 to use the gym.
