Lane speed policy
Would would ask that swimmers behave curtiously when lane swimming. We do not want anyone to get hurt and so in the interest of safety please choose your speed of lane well. if you are constantly being overtaken this is a sign that you are too slow for that lane and should move to a slower lane. If a lifeguard intervenes please do not take offense. They are acting in everyones best interest and are trying to get all swimmers to have an enjoyable experience.
Designed by award-winning architects, Graham–Watts Partnership, in 2002, the JAGS Sports Club pool is the star of the Club – some might say the best in South London! The pool 25m x 12m dimensions means it’s perfect for lane swimmers and competitions, but it also hosts a number of weekly activities including family swim sessions, private lessons and swim school.
The resounding feature of the pool is the UV disinfectant system, which means we use only need to use a fraction of the chlorine used by other centres to kill bacteria in the pool water. This is extremely kind on skin, hair and kids!
All changing areas have under floor heating and warm showers, and there is always a lifeguard present on the poolside. Please bring £1 for the lockers.
The pool is a members only facility.
If you are bringing children, the ratios are as follows:
1:1 for 0-4years
2:1 for 5-8 years
From 9 upwards, children can swim on their own in the pool if they are competent swimmers, but parents must remain on the pool balcony.
