JAGS Sports Club offers a wide range of tennis courses for children on Saturday mornings…  For those wanting to be the next Andy Murray or Serena Williams, these courses provide the perfect introduction!

With our excellent team of coaches and fantastic facilities, your children will soon be in full swing.

Parent + Toddler Tennis –  4-5yrs

Tots Tennis is an early introduction to the game for pre-school aged children. These are fun based sessions with an emphasis on balance and co-ordination to help get them ready for Mini Red Tennis.

Mini Tennis Red – 6-7yrs

Mini Tennis is just like the real thing, but with smaller courts, nets, rackets and lower-bouncing balls. The low compression balls used in Mini Tennis are now being used by clubs and coaches across the UK to introduce adult beginners to the sport.  The slower and lower bouncing balls make it far easier to learn the game.  Players will learn basic techniques, tactics and, when appropriate, how to keep score in a match.

Mini Tennis Orange – 8-9yrs

These sessions are played on a 3/4 sized court with mini tennis orange balls. Again, rackets to suit your child are provided. The children will further develop their techniques and tactical awareness.

Mini Tennis Green – 9yrs+

These sessions are played on a full size tennis court, with bigger rackets and balls, which are still a little softer than yellow balls.  It’s the next stage before moving on to full compression yellow balls on a full sized court, and helps players develop and improve all aspects of their game.
