Suitable for all levels, AquaFit includes water walking, jogging, bicep curls, leg lifts, squats and kicking moves.  Expect a warm-up followed by cardio and strength-training exercises, finishing with a cool down.  You won’t be swimming and most exercises take place in the shallow end, but participants should be confident in the water.  This class will give you a great cardio workout with fantastic toning opportunities and with low impact on your joints.

Riding on a static bike, this group session is a brilliant way to keep fit, offering cardio training whilst also toning your legs and abs.  Speed and incline can be adjusted to accommodate individual needs and the teacher will often choose music to reflect the pace of the session.  This class is a lot of fun and offers an opportunity to build stamina and strength through interval training.  Join Omar’s classes on Thursdays and Fridays if you are a beginner or Maxi/Paula’s class on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays if you have cycled before on a static bike and would like to pick up the pace.

TRX (Total Body Resistance Exercise) is an all-over strength training class, using wall-mounted straps and your own body weight.  It’ll take a few weeks to adjust to using the straps but stick with it and you’ll get the hang of it in no time!  An excellent strength training class, particularly focused on core and upper body.  This class is recommended for those who are familiar with TRX equipment and have an intermediate to advanced level of strength training skills.

This session offers teens an opportunity to use the gym suite in a safe and controlled environment.  On Saturdays, there are two classes.  The earlier class takes place in the main gym to get beginners accustomed to gym equipment.  The second class takes place in the Free Weights Gym upstairs and is more suited to experienced gym users. Sunday classes and additional holiday classes are available to all levels.  Ages 12-17 years.

 

Additional sessions at 17.00 – 18.00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays are available during holidays, excluding Christmas.

A high-energy, fast-paced dance class using Latin American music, Zumba brings a lot of fun to the world of exercise!  Regular attendees will quickly pick up the moves, a fusion of salsa, samba and meringue.
