Richard Brunning

Richard has been personal training for over 18 years. He has a BSc. Honours degree in Sport Science from the University of Brighton and over 20,000 hours of personal training and exercise prescription experience.

He is an American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Health and Fitness Instructor qualified and holds the postgraduate qualification of Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA CSCS) and Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA CPT) awards. Richard also has a Diploma in Performance Coaching (Dip NCFE).

He has designed and implemented some of the UK and USA’s most comprehensive and effective exercise prescription and personal training courses. He is the former manager of the Morgan Stanley Fitness Centres based in Canary Wharf, London.

Richard designed and implemented the company personal training course for Tweedpark Health and Fitness and Sona Positive Health 2001 to 2004 and was an accredited presenter for the American College of Sports Medicine.

During his career, Richard has trained thousands of people ranging from retired septuagenarians to young athletes to every day individuals to competitive athletes.

He is vastly experienced at working with clients who are pregnant, older and adolescent; those with nutritional and metabolic concerns; those with cardiovascular and respiratory conditions; those with injuries and rehabilitation and those who are athletic.

Richard holds a 2nd Dan Black Belt in Kickboxing and 1st Degree Black Sash in Lau Gar Kung Fu. He holds a World and European Silver Medals and was a former 5 time British Champion (WAKO).

Richard is registered as a REPS Level 3 Advanced Instructor, Certified, Licensed and Insured AMA/WAKO Kickboxing Coach and Instructor. Richard is fully CRB checked.

Richard teaches Kickboxing at James Allen’s Girls’ School.
